Description: Fair housing laws affect many areas of real estate practice, from dealing with clients to advertising and marketing—even running a brokerage office. This course provides you with the information you need to stay current with federal and state fair housing laws—knowledge that is critical to doing good business today. Laws covered include the Fair Housing Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act at the federal level, and additional protected classes laws at the state level. For each law, the course looks at who is protected, who is exempt, the consequences of non-compliance, as well as advertising guidelines and the Fair Housing Partnership.

Audience for Course: Real estate professionals who are renewing in their license.
