Description: Locating suitable rental premises for a client or finding a prospective tenant for a location is only part of the real estate professional's job. This course focuses on the commercial leasing process and the associated documents, providing insight into the role and responsibilities of the real estate professional. It explains both the required elements of a lease and optional additional clauses.

The task of negotiating and documenting an agreement between the parties requires expertise in all aspects of the commercial leasing process, knowledge of the documents used at each stage and the provincial regulations and laws that affect these documents, as well as skill as a negotiator.

Throughout the leasing process, the real estate professional can assist in determining that the requirements of both parties are compatible and that both parties understand the meaning and implications of all aspects of the agreement into which they are entering.
