Description: This is the second of a two-part course. We strongly recommend that you complete Part 1 of "Selling
the Small Business: Going Beyond Selling Property" first, before venturing into Part 2.
In this course we discuss the various components of the business valuation calculation and how these
components help us calculate value. We examine how real estate professionals can assist in negotiating
price and payment terms by looking at buyer synergy, deal structure, and negotiating ability.
We let you apply your understanding of calculating the value of a small business by walking you
through a simulation. Finally, we investigate the four components of a deal structure, which were
introduced in Part 1, and identify additional factors that should be considered when negotiating
price and terms.
