Texas Secretary of State welcomes CE Network as a state-approved provider of online continuing education
Texas Secretary of State Phil Wilson meets with CE Network Inc. the newest entrant to the Texas online continuing education market as part of Texas Week in Canada.

Toronto, ON October 17, 2007: Texas Secretary of State Phil Wilson met with CE Network Inc. Senior Vice President Callum James and welcomed CE Network as its newest online continuing education provider. CE Network was recently approved by both the Texas Secretary of State and the Texas Real Estate Commission as an approved online continuing education provider for Texas real estate licensees.
The meeting took place as part of Texas Week in Canada, a trade and tourism mission sponsored by Secretary Wilson’s department. Secretary Wilson noted that while this is the first trade mission of its kind for Texas in Canada, Canada is the state’s second largest trading partner. Secretary Wilson was especially interested in CE Network’s experience using the web-based business registration process employed by Texas. CE Network’s James said, "We deal with numerous state and provincial regulators and were impressed with the degree to which Texas has adopted web-based regulatory solutions and also with its entrepreneurial culture. Both the Department of State and the Texas Real Estate Commission demonstrate an excellent combination of streamlined regulation and a friendly, welcoming attitude."
CE Network will supplement its online presence by hiring local sales representatives in Texas as well as Texan real estate subject matter experts. "Texas A&M University has established itself as one of the leading North American academic centers for real estate research," said CE Network’s James, "and the state has a history of developing and sharing intellectual capital. We look forward to helping extend the reach of Texas-originated intellectual capital beyond the state’s borders".
